Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 13, 2025

MedTrack is built with one principle in mind: your health data belongs to you. This policy explains what we collect (spoiler: almost nothing), how data is stored, and what rights you have as a user.

1. Data We Collect

MedTrack does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data you enter lives exclusively on your device.

The following information is stored locally only:

  • Profile details (name, birthday, weight, height)
  • Medication records and schedules
  • Checkup and hospitalization history
  • Alarm and reminder preferences
  • Photos attached to medication records

We do not have access to any of this data. It never leaves your device unless you manually export it.

2. Internet Usage

MedTrack is offline-first. Internet access is used for one purpose only:

  • Checking if a new app version is available — triggered only when your device is connected.

No health data, profile data, or personally identifiable information is included in this version check request.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in a local SQLite database within your device's private app storage directory. This directory is:

  • Inaccessible to other apps on your device
  • Preserved across app updates
  • Removed only upon full app uninstall

Exported files are encrypted using AES-256 to protect your data when transferred between devices.

4. No Ads, No Tracking

MedTrack contains zero advertisements and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not use:

  • Google Analytics or Firebase
  • Facebook SDK or Meta Pixel
  • Ad networks of any kind
  • Crash reporting services that transmit data externally

5. Export & Import

You can export your data at any time as an encrypted file saved to your device storage. This file can be imported into another device running MedTrack.

You are solely responsible for the security of exported files. We recommend storing them in a secure location and not sharing them with others.

6. Children's Privacy

MedTrack may be used to manage health profiles for children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Since all data remains on-device and is never transmitted, there is no risk of children's data being collected by us or third parties.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

We're happy to clarify anything about how MedTrack handles your data.
